Since joining the City of Plano in 2005, Yarcus has developed sustainability plans, projects, and policies for city operations and community improvement. During this time, Plano achieved national recognition for a STAR Communities 4-STAR Rating and a LEED for Cities Certification. Most recently, Yarcus led development of Plano’s climate plan known as the Cleaner Air, Reduced Emissions (CARE) Strategy with a 2050 Carbon Neutrality goal.
He has over 30 years of leadership experience in the public, corporate, and community development sectors. Yarcus has a B.A. in Political Science/Economics from Prairie View A&M University.
